TERMS & CONDITIONS

Last Updated: November 10, 2025

Welcome to KRU Dog Training. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern all services ("Services") provided by KRU Dog Training ("we," "us," or "our") to you, the client ("you" or "the owner"). By purchasing a training package or scheduling a session, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services

KRU Dog Training provides 1-on-1, in-home, private dog training and behavior consultation services. All training is based on modern, science-backed, positive reinforcement methods.

We do not offer group classes, dog daycare, or boarding services.

2. Payment

Payment for all training packages is due in full prior to the first scheduled session. This payment secures your time slot in our calendar.

In some cases, an installment plan may be offered in writing. For installment plans, the first payment is due prior to the first session, with subsequent payments due on the agreed-upon dates. All payments made are non-refundable.

3. Package Expiry Policy (Please Read Carefully)

Consistency and commitment are essential for successful dog training. Training is a process that requires momentum. Therefore, all training packages have a strict expiration date to ensure clients complete their program in a timely manner.

  • 3-Session Packages: Must be completed within 5 weeks (35 days) of the first session.

  • 6-Session Packages: Must be completed within 9 weeks (63 days) of the first session.

  • 9-Session Packages: Must be completed within 12 weeks (84 days) of the first session.

Any sessions not completed before the expiration date will be forfeited. We do not offer refunds or credits for expired, unused sessions.

4. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. We understand that life happens, but last-minute cancellations directly impact our ability to serve other clients.

  • We require a minimum of 48 hours' notice to reschedule a session.

  • Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 48 hours' notice will result in that session being forfeited.

  • If you are not at home at the scheduled time (a "no-show"), the session will be forfeited.

5. Travel & Service Area

Our standard service area includes the City of Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, and North Vancouver.

Clients located outside this standard service area (e.g., Deep Cove, Coquitlam, etc.) will be subject to a non-refundable travel fee. This fee will be quoted per session and agreed upon in writing before the first session is booked.

6. Owner's Responsibility (The "Homework" Clause)

You, the owner, are the most important part of the training plan. The success of our program is contingent on your commitment to the process.

We provide the expert guidance, exercises, and management plan, but you are responsible for implementing the training and management protocols between our sessions. We cannot guarantee results, as a dog's behavior is influenced by many factors (genetics, health, owner consistency) that are outside of our control.

7. Liability & Safety

You are responsible for your dog's behavior at all times. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KRU Dog Training and its owner from any and all liability, claims, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from any injury or damage caused by your dog to any person or property.

You must disclose any known history of aggression, bites, or reactivity from your dog before our first session. We reserve the right to recommend muzzling during a session if it is deemed necessary for safety.

8. Refund Policy

We are committed to providing the highest quality of service. However, results are not guaranteed, and payments are non-refundable. Once a package has been purchased and the first session has occurred, no refunds will be issued.

9. Media Release

We love to show off our clients' success! You agree to allow KRU Dog Training to use photos or videos of you and your dog from our sessions for educational and marketing purposes on our website, social media, and other promotional materials. We will never share your full name or personal contact information. If you wish to opt-out, please notify us in writing.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the province of British Columbia, Canada.
